Affordable, close to Caesar's Palace where we went to see a show, included breakfast.
Curtains did not close so light came through the sheers early in the morning and woke me up, after going to bed quite late. Would have liked the option to make the room darker for the morning, but the thick curtains on the sides of the window were only decorative and didn't move.
I liked the location - it was right by the water and in the downtown core and so close to lots of amenities.
Staff were not friendly - the woman at the front desk was almost openly hostile, not at all friendly or approachable. Even when talking cheerfully about my travel she was openly dismissive to the point of rudeness. At one point I had to excuse myself to use the washroom, she left my Visa sitting out in open view on the counter while she walked away to the other side of the desk. The room itself was very musty and smelled unclean. The blankets smelled unwashed and had to be taken off the beds - they had very clearly not been washed in quite some time. The television was old and the remote did not work which meant limited channels. I have stayed in many different hotels in many different countries but never have I been in a room so dirty
city was friendly and had a great downtown for resturants and pubs
Downtown location, AC, water bottle
Smell in hallways, extremely tight parking spots, old carpets, lack of room service, poor quality of breakfast
Ease of check-in. Front Dest Agent very helpful with questions I had.
I would like to have an earlier check-in time offered. Possible after 2pm or earlier if rewards member.
Affordable and located close to where we wanted to go, The Casino.
Location, close to the water, within walking distance to both locations that we wanted to go, the Keg and the Casino.
The location was excellent, close to everything and is on the river with beatiful views of downtown Detroit.......you can walk everywhere from this hotel. Also, the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful.
The room we had was very dated and dark and kind of musty and desperately needed updating to freshen up everything.
It was located in a good spot and the beds were very comfotable
location at the Detroit River is wonderful. Staff very nice- This was my second stay there
this hotel should be renovated and it is a pity it does not have any restaurant
It was located downtown. I would never stay there again it was very dirty we found a used condom under the bed as well as old food
We found a used condom under the bed as well as old food
Great location overlooking Detroit River
The front desk staff is absolutely amazing to deal with. They are all so friendly. Considering the price and location, the hotel is great
There was very limited parking and guests were quite noisy.
We were given the key to our room and once we got to the floor and the room, it was already occupied. We were given an upgrade but the room was in front of the elevator and the noise was a little discomforting. Also the rooms are in dire need of a remake, repairs and stains are evident in not only our room but our friends room as well. May be our last trip to a travelodge at this location.
Required paid parking for hotel guest. One ice machine for the entire hotel and it never had ice when I went to get some. The staff was helpful in getting ice for me in the kitchen area. Minimal selection provided for complimentary breakfast.
